Paul is a litigation support specialist with a diverse background in economics, history, electronics, and data systems. He specializes in researching complex and challenging cases and legal issues, and in developing new technological tools and strategies to investigate complex business disputes.

Education: Paul graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with university honors, completed an ABA-accredited paralegal certification program at SUNY Westchester Community College, and is currently a J.D. candidate at Syracuse University School of Law.
 

Notable Engagements:

• Post-Judgement Recovery and Enforcement: Paul works closely with financial experts to develop SLF’s in-house analytical systems and with SLF’s attorneys on the legal strategy to rapidly identify fraudulent transfers of assets by debtors to avoid paying their judgments.

• Ponzi Scheme Recovery for Investors:

  • In re Future Income Payments - Represented over 300 investors with aggregate investments exceeding 30 million dollars in a Ponzi scheme involving numerous insurance companies and agents. SLF pursued insurance companies and agents involved with the fraud. As a result of SLF’s efforts in complex litigation, many clients received in excess of 70% of their principal.

• Ponzi Scheme Recovery for Chapter 7 Trustees:

  • In re Welscorp/Wellington Sports Club: Paul worked closely with Zach on a Chapter 7 case involving a $30 million sports betting Ponzi scheme in Las Vegas (Bankr. Nevada), conducting research, mastering the evidence, and drafting motions in over 65 avoidance actions against 81 defendants across the country and abroad. Paul managed the litigation workload and worked directly with S.E.C. data to build the factual record supporting roughly $5mm in summary and default judgments, with recovery to date over $1.5mm.

  • In re Schmidty Kicks: In working with SLF to recover in a $20mm+ sneaker fraud case, Paul has managed complex litigation and handled voluminous discovery in a dispute against a Fortune 500 company.

  • In re Celsius Network LLC: Paul provided legal support and drafting in SLF’s intervention on behalf of creditors, resulting in a $65 million+ settlement.

• Real Estate Dispute in Scarsdale, NY: Lead drafter on motion for summary judgment, which was granted and established liability to recover over $1mm losses on renovation project to sell a former rental property.
